Responsibilities include managing the GIS and Image Processing Lab as well as student workers. Administrating network servers located in the department and across campus. Maintaining a geospatial database via SQL and SDE for university use as well as collaborating with I.T. specialist across campus to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues within the department (email, web content, software, hardware, etc). Updating software, re-imaging computers, and replacing hardware throughout the department as needed. Course Taught with Lab Component GHY/PLN 2812 – Geospatial Data and Technology Course topics include Global Positioning Systems, Geographic Information Systems, data management, remote sensing, and lab procedures.
