Del Yocam, Managing Partner of Yocam Holdings
After graduating with his MBA from the University of California, Long Beach in 1971, Delbert Yocam launched his career in the technology industry with a number of early tech startups before joining Apple in 1979. Initially a vice president of operations and manufacturing, Del Yocam rose through the company to become the president of Apple Pacific, a position he held until his departure in 1989. After leaving Apple, Delbert Yocam accepted a three-year contract with Tektronix, where he was tasked with refocusing research and development spending to optimize new product revenues. After achieving a successful turnaround, he accepted an appointment as chief executive officer of Borland International, where he remained up through the company’s acquisition of Visigenics Software in 2000. Since 2001, he has been a managing partner with Yocam Holdings, a family investment firm with diversified assets in the technology, pharmacogenomics, entertainment, and real estate industries. In addition to his executive roles, he has served on the boards of technology companies including Adobe and Oracle.
