Conceptualized, presented and executed a total makeover of the business processes at Slade and moved it to several IT platforms comprising of Novell, Lotus Notes, Security firewalls, centralized SQL server with private leased lines between different offices – a project with a AU$700.000 budget. The transformation started in early 2000 and was completed in 2001, resulting in significant operational efficiencies, savings and more importantly just in time management reporting capabilities. At that time Slade had around 180 head count and was by far the largest privately owned recruitment agency in Australia. Slade was one of the first users of the job boards in Australia, and also amongst the first users of automated job multi-posting systems with AI based automatic candidate ranking and CV data extraction all fully integrated with back and front offices.

Finell is a contracting manufacturer of sheet metal products for a number of different clients and the key challenges there were just in time production capabilities, stock level optimization and accuracy of the Estimates for a large range of products. Mr. Miskulin’s responsibilities were several fold: purchasing operations of around NZ$2 million per annum using a computerized MRP based system (PICK-PRO:MAN), cost estimation of around NZ$6 million in sales as well as responsibility for the company computer systems comprising PCs and PICK machines. On Mr. Miskulin’s initiative, a “smart-card” system was introduced to allow machine operators to enable time capturing of each operation, which was directly fed back to the MRP system. This saved the company an estimated NZ$60,000 per annum.
