As an Inventor Mentor I lead sessions of the Wizbots after-school program. My chief responsibility in leading a session is to create an environment where kids can explore design, engineering, and invention by fostering a creative environment and encouraging analytical problem-solving skills in a hands-on, collaborative, and social learning experience.

As a member of a small instructor team, I help run weekend-long training courses in First Aid, with a focus on classes that cover the skills most needed in the outdoors and when help is delayed. I am certified in Wilderness First Responder, Wilderness First Aid Basic, Basic First Aid, CPR and AED through ECSI and ASHI.
