Young, dedicated, self-motivated and passionate software engineer. I started coding at an early age and implemented several software projects while still an undergraduate, activating as a freelancer on the website formerly known as RentACoder, where I was rewarded with the distinction “Top Coder”. I left freelancing for a permanent position, working from home as a software developer at Commercestream Corp. USA. Three years later, I enrolled in a Ph.D. and was soon offered a research engineer position at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the result being several scientific papers presented at important software engineering conferences.

As a research engineer, I collaborated with research teams from France (Univ. of Nice) and Romania (Technical Univ. of Cluj-Napoca, Babes Bolyai Univ. of Cluj-Napoca) and developed several new algorithms for Web services composition. I’ve also worked in the field of evolutionary computing, mainly on applying differential evolution to services QoS optimization.

I spent most of my career working for Commercestream Corp., which activates in the field of Internet Marketing. As such, it has a small IT team, which develops its marketing products, ranging from CRM to custom Web Applications that use NoSQL databases. My responsibilities were to design, develop, test and maintain Java Web services and coordinate integration of such services with different front-ends such as Drupal, node.js and Google Web Toolkit. When needed, I took charge of system administration of Linux instances deployed using the Amazon EC2 platform. During the last few months, due to the increasing popularity of mobile platforms, I was assigned a few projects involving Android and iOS apps.
