Sales Associate

Luxottica Retail

December 2008 - June 2010

I was fortunate enough to be able to work at Sunglass Hut, where I learned the intricacies of the sales process and front of door selling. Sunglass Hut had a fantastic onboarding program which educated me on my target audience and how to sell to them. I believe the most important piece of knowledge I learned was regarding brand awareness, brand loyalty, and how to sell an experience as a product. The amount of sale's knowledge and skills that I picked up at Sunglass Hut(Luxottica Retail), was priceless.

Laboratory Technician

Lenscrafters

June 2007 - August 2009

I crafted exceptionally designed prescription lenses and gave the gift of sight to thousands of people. At Lenscrafters I learned that creating a product which helps improve a person's life is very rewarding. We offered customers the option to have their lenses crafted in under an hour, which was a cut above our competitors. This type of environment taught me how to balance speed and efficiency with quality. Teamwork was also extremely important while working as a Laboratory Technician. It takes a group of people to craft an exceptional set of lenses and understanding how to work as a team was critical to our success. Truly a great experience, I'm happy to have worked at Lenscrafters.

Line Cook

Jason's Deli

June 2004 - July 2006

The Jason's Deli location that I worked at had a tremendous amount of business coming through on a daily basis. My responsibility was to prepare and cook the food on the line. I learned how to work hard at Jason's Deli and it set the tone for the rest of my career. You truly do a lot of work cooking food for hundreds of hungry mouths and the work ethic that is built is very strong. My thanks to Jason's Deli and the Management there for giving me great work skills such as time management, personal productivity, and team building.
