Event Planning

I recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with Bachelor of Arts in Honours Sociology as well as minors in English, Film Studies and Psychology. My undergraduate degree has provided me with the opportunity to improve my skills such as research, communication, analytical skill and many other transferable skills that I can take into the workplace. During my time as an undergraduate, I was involved in many extra-curricular groups such as The Cord Photographers and Foot Patrol. For the past three years, I have been a crisis line volunteer, a position that I have been trained for, with the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region. Throughout my time as a volunteer I have learned much about myself, it also challenges and utilizes my skills and abilities. Although, I do not reside in Waterloo anymore, I still out aside time to be a member of a helpful service to the population. Currently, I am enrolled in the Event Management Postgraduate program at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advance Learning. I decided to take this program because it focuses on the skills that I have and my hobbies such as planning or organizational skills and makes a career out of it.
