Taking a position at U.S. Customs and Border Protection has been a remarkable experience. The Federal Government has a set of situations which bring a level of complexity that is challenging. The challenges allow for opportunities to push things forward in new ways. I am part of a service team responsible for computer operations for the local office of one of the largest federal government divisions of Homeland Security. Common objectives include appropriate levels of service for in a multi-departmental office of 900 end-users. In addition, the maintenance of accurate inventory records,service records, and communications between departments are duties common to this position. * Lead in Remote Access initiative supporting over 300 individuals working in various situations. Plan and roll out updates, fixes, and training for all program participants . * Assisted in the development of SOP's for the local operations department.
