Showtime engaged me to spearhead its relaunch of The Smithsonian Channel’s Web site and help them transition to a dynamic publishing environment. As the lead developer, I was responsible for the frontend coding and UX design. Interactive elements were developed in jQuery and are optimized for viewing on the iPad. I also handled the integration of video content from Brightcove and performed an SEO overhaul with custom page tracking via Omniture and Google Analytics. (

AOL has been a leader in online publishing for more than 15 years and remains the fourth largest news Web site in the U.S. As an online news producer, I was responsible for managing the daily production of stories, videos and multimedia elements that appeared on the front pages of, the AOL client’s “Welcome Screen” and the Web 2.0 news site at I helped maintain day-to-day editorial operations during the company’s restructuring efforts in 2007. During my tenure, I helped increase the news vertical’s monthly page views from 600 to 800 million.
