Lexitronics

Lexitronics is a research group that focuses on teaching and learning vocabulary, and explores ways of promoting productive use of lexis in a corpus-informed approach. Lexitronics was short-listed for the 2009 British Council ELTons innovation in EFL award in the international category for research. Have participated as a tutor on numerous workshops on Web2.0 technologies and EFL at Eastern Mediterranean University and Middle East Technical University in Cyprus and Turkey. Was a tutor on the Pearson Summer Courses on Learning Technologies and Web2.0 in 2008 and 2009, with course director, Kristina Smith. Was also a tutor at the Hornby Summer School in Moscow, 2008, with course director Gavin Dudeney. In 2009 I was a moderator for the Cyprus cohort taking the British Council LearningTechnologies online course. In 2010 I was co-moderator with Graeme Nelson on the British Council emoderator online course.
