Team leader of a little team implementing communication activities related to the results from research and innovation programmes in the field of digital and information technology. The tasks include prioritising the work, coordinating input from other units, providing editorial guidelines for different materials and managing integrated content for the different communication channels and tools (press, web site, blogs, audio-visual). The focus is on project stories funded by the previous and the current ICT Programme for Research and Development. The work requires knowledge of the ICT sectors and issues and its impact in the EU economy and society; a close follow up of the developments of the Digital agenda policy actions is an integral part of the work.

In the administration and finance unit, co-ordinated and facilitated the work of the Director and the services of the Directorate allowing that programme development objectives were defined, implemented, monitored and results made visible. ▪Set up a communication network within the directorate to make the project portfolio of “ICT for societal challenges” visible. The group is still the most active in the DG.

The activities included: Management of the whole project lifecycle, and related procedures, starting from proposal selection, chair of consensus meetings, negotiation, contracting, daily management and technical verifications. Evaluation coordinator for a call for proposal in the unit: a call of more than 100 proposals, more than 50 external experts, two weeks full time evaluation, scheduling of consensus meetings, briefing to the evaluators, management of the appointed secretariat, etc. Definition and revision of the work programme priorities
