Director Duties: Manager of managers for a team of network switch planning engineers to forecast growth, monitor, and improve the quality of 180+ switches supporting the Cingular Wireless Southeast and Northeast Region networks. Responsibilities include forecasting switch growth to calculate key critical triggers, analyze, and optimize key performance characteristics for the GSM, TDMA and UMTS networks. Work with internal organizations RF engineering, BSC Planning, Interconnect, Marketing, and Sales to ensure switch is sized to accommodate new features and capacity demands. Recommend network architecture enhancements to improve capacity and performance based on vendor evolution plans. Budget responsibilities for $500M+ and recurring interaction with Cingular senior leadership on financial and capacity updates.
